One Nation (NSW Division) Media Release - 19/9/2007

ONE NATION SENATE CANDIDATE SELECTED

Mrs Judith Newson of Peakhurst has been selected to head One Nation's Senate team for NSW.

Having owned and managed small businesses, including in the trucking industry, she well understands the trials, tribulations and issues facing small companies and their employees in the so-called economic boom times of Australia today.

Previously for 22 years she worked for a charity in the Western Suburbs caring for local war widows. It was here she saw first hand the relevance of the policies of One Nation in regard to multiculturalism and immigration, when she encountered dozens of cases of elderly people who had lived for decades in the suburbs of Campsie, Belmore, Lakemba, Bankstown and Punchbowl being harassed out of their homes by immigrant neighbours who would torment them with verbal abuse and malicious property damage because they wanted them gone.

For her work with war widows she was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the RSL one of the league's highest awards given to non-service personnel.

Judith is a staunch Christian who teaches scripture weekly to primary school students.

Outside work she finds time to be a wife, mother and grandmother and State Secretary of One Nation and President of its Georges River Branch.

One Nation in NSW will be focusing on the Senate and be aiming to win balance of power.

Second and third on the Senate ticket are Mr Andrew Webber, a farmer from the Central Coast, who is also One Nation's Policy Co-ordinator and President of its Wyong Branch, and Mrs Kay Bounds, retired Police Officer, from One Nation's Nowra Branch.

Statement issued September 19th, 2007 on behalf of One Nation (NSW Division) by Bob Vinnicombe Publicity Officer.
