(iv) James Thomas Jullion b. 1814 d.1896 - married Maria Beetle - 9th June 1840 - Kensington Parish Church

(Includes information from Sue Tearne NZ, with thanks.) Maria Beetle was born in Debden, Essex c. 1819. James Thomas Jullion is listed as an "Accountant" on the Marriage Certificate. As a bachelor, his residence was 9, Queen Street, New Brompton. Maria Beetle's address was listed as 23, Queen's Gardens, New Brompton. Her father, William Beetle, (probably born in 1786 at Debden) was a Coachman. Francis White is named as Curate - he read the Banns - and the witnesses were Charles Peglar, Sarah Beetle (probably the bride's sister) and Mary Sarah Jullion (the groom's sister - qv below).

There is an entry in Boyd's Marriage Index for the marriage of a William Beetle to Elizabeth Nunn in 1811. There is also evidence of other marriage links between PEGLAR and BEETLE. Pallot's Marriage Index has a Sarah Beetle (spinster) married to John Peglar (bachelor), in 1786, at St Marylebone.

The family name of Nunn is included in press reports of persons giving gifts at the wedding of Henry James Drew Smythe and Enid Audrey Cloutman (whose mother was Emily Jane Jullion).
