Helen Barbara Smythe married (1903) John Henry Jenner, son of John Jenner of Chisenbury, Wilts. She died in 1965 leaving 2 sons and 1 daughter. Her husband died c. 1930. Jessie Mabel Laurie: Born: 1 Jan 1851 Port Adelaide, South Australia. Died: 29 Jun 1928 Brompton, South Australia. She was " ... well-known in Adelaide as a writer of serials (Paul Depasquale, A Critical History of South Australian Literature 1836-1930), Jessie (Waterhouse) was the eldest of 8 children of Buxton Forbes Laurie, pilot and harbourmaster at Port Adelaide, and his wife Mary Small. She married (Irishman) William Frederick Fortescue Smythe in Feb 1878, and they had a son [died young] and a daughter. She was widowed in 1882. In 1891 she married the widower John Immyns (Jack) Waterhouse. There is no record of children ..." 7. Somerset Albert Middleton Smythe (1847) m 1869 Evelyn Casey. There was one child of the marriage - he was Robert Smythe b.1870 who married before 1898 Rose Yerbury (d.1918). He disappeared in North America in 1932. I son and 1 daughter of the marriage.

Walker, Rector of Nacton, Suffolk and 2nd daughter of Henry Richard Kemmis (Barrister-at-law) of Newberry, Coolock and Robuck, Co. Dublin and later of 13, Norfolk Crescent, Bath, Somerset.

He broke a hip and his health very rapidly deteriorated. He is survied by his widow, Wynn, and his three step-children - Alex, Penelope and Tim."

Eminent equestrian and famous international show jumper and author (under name of Pat Smythe) of numerous works on riding and adventure stories for children. Her childhood and early life may be read in her autobiographical book "Jump For Joy".

There was 1 child, a daughter, of the marriage - Lucy Barbara Ingoldsby Smythe (1883) m. 1911 Arthur Tarlton Jefferis. She died in 1917. There was a son and a daughter of the marriage. He remarried (unknown) and died c. 1960.

She moved to Sydney in her twenties and worked in daily and magazine journalism, then as a freelance radio writer. She has written more than 50 radio dramas and dramatised documentaries as well as serials, scientific and educational programmes ..."
