#The Reverend Thomas James Smyth son of Thomas Smyth and Mary A. Gibbons sold the lands of Loughagar, in County Westmeath, in August of 1860 to my ancestor Isaiah Ferguson. I found that Mary Anne Smyth married Chaworth Joseph Ferguson in 1856. I transcribed their marriage settlement and posted it here. From Irish civil registration records which begin in 1864 I can say they had at least two children: Herbert Chaworth, 5 Dec 1865, Dublin and Alice Marian, 2 Aug 1867, Dublin. Colin Ferguson 11/2002
