Biography

Jeremy James Taylor was the founder of the NYMT. He has written or co-written twenty-four new music theatre works and directed over thirty productions for the NYMT including "Pendragon" which won Critic's Choice in the New York Times during its short Broadway season in 1995.

He was Associate Director at the Young Vic Theatre in London from 1975 to 1979. Freelance work includes productions for English National Opera, Glyndebourne Touring Opera, the Royal Academy of Music, the National Theatre of Norway and the Banff Centre in Canada. He has directed youth theatre in Sydney and New Zealand and was responsible for the joint King's Consort/NYMT production of "The Indian Queen" in London and Germany.
