Envelope containing photographs sent via Cockburns Agency (Srinagar) Kashmir, 30th March 1945 to Col. H. J. Drew-Smythe at 62 I.G.H. |
As well as mail,
all photography being forwarded to family or friends in
other countries or being sent to other forces personnel
had to pass through the hands of the Unit Censor. Some
would receive a stamp such as this one to indicate that
potentially classified information was deemed to be no
security risk if it should fall into the wrong hands.
