Fantastic News!! to my family and friends. I have asked the most
wonderful woman (Peta) in the world to marry me, happily she has
accepted my proposal. We plan to marry early in 2001. yes! we are
practicing our dance steps together and should make quite a team in
the very near future. With her gentle encouragement and support I
will be learning the Tenor Saxaphone with the King Island Band, something
I have always wanted to do. I would like to tell those that may come across this page,
by design or by accident, that my wish for you is; you may feel as fulfilled,
happy, respected and as loved as I am. I have found love in a 'soulmate'
love greater than I have ever known, and a future better than I could have
ever hoped for. For me, life has only just begun. The following for
those who may be interested is my dance history: Rock'n'Roll dancing began for me in 1989 as a student of Jan and Kevin
Gosper at their studio in Windsor NSW. Coaching continued over the next few
years with George and Lyn Czender, at their Dance Down Under Studio at
Hoxton Park. I am continually polishing my skills in Lindy Hop, Jitterbug
and Boogie Woogie dance styles from the Australasian Jitterbug Champion
Lee Nielson. In 1995, I Choreographed, Produced, Co-Directed and Danced in the video
Advanced Variations in Rock'n'Roll. The video, an Australian first, has
reached out throughout Australia, the USA, Singapore and the World. Depicting
air steps in slow motion for study. To compliment the video I produced a
companion book. Another world first was the production of a CD-ROM version of
the video for computer buffs. Good news is there are 3 more vidoes now ready for you to learn from,
visit the new stuff NOW! In 1996
I have attended workshops to study the Shim Sham, Lindy, St Lois Shag, Jitterbug
and the Balboa. The Balboa I have begun to master, presently I am working with
my love, Peta, to showcase this amazing and fast dance style. I have travelled through Europe and to the United States learning Lindy
Hop and the American Swing Style from the famous Frank Manning and Erin Stevens.
In addition, I have organised and conducted many Rock'n'Roll workshops for some
of our more remote Australian Rock'n'Roll colleagues, Europe and dancers in
Bangkok Thailand. I have achieved State, National and International Champion status
and have strutted my stuff in Europe, the USA and Asia.
Due to some of my former students and their insistent demands I will be putting
a portfolio together that will offer holiday dancing packages to King Island next
year
