One Nation (NSW Division) Media Release - 8/11/2007
Why Will No-one Mention Immigration as a Major Factor in Home Unaffordability ?
One Nation is amazed that immigration has not been mentioned in the
debate over home affordability.
It's a simple mathematical fact that the more people competing for a
property the higher the realised price will be.
In addition, there are people buying property in Australia who don't
even live here.
A comparison of median house prices in Sydney reveals a residential
property costs about six years wages as against two years wages 25 years
ago.
When are they going to stop telling us lies about the virtues of
immigration?
If immigration creates jobs why don't they send migrants to the
countries with the highest unemployment?
If immigration creates jobs, why, with allegedly low unemployment now,
are they now still clamouring for more migrants - to fill the jobs?
Even Paul "the recession-we-had--to-have" Keating said in his maiden
speech that the natural increase in population was better than that
caused by immigration. Unfortunately he changed his tune later.
One Nation says for economic, environmental, social, cultural and all
other good reasons cut immigration because it only
benefits big business and the real estate sharks.
